Welke Customs Brokers USA to Host Northeast Ohio Seminar on New USMCA – 2/19

SOLON, OH – (Feb. 14) – Damon Piatek, President and CEO of Welke Customs Brokers USA, announced today Welke Customs Brokers USA, based in Tonawanda, NY, will host an educational seminar for Northeast Ohio companies on the new U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) on Thursday, February 20, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Springhill Suites, 30100 Aurora Road in Solon. The session will focus on the key components of the new trade agreement, and what companies should be doing to prepare for its implementation.

“While the USMCA has been a top headline in the news for almost two years now, many companies doing business throughout North America don’t know what’s actually in it, and how it will affect their operations,” said Piatek. “Now that the agreement has been ratified, when implementation comes, it will come quickly, and we thought it was important to reach out to manufacturers and distributors in the region to walk them through the changes that will affect their import and export processes.”

Piatek, who has more than 20 years’ experience in the logistics industry, is a Licensed US Customs Broker and holds a CCS (Certified Customs Specialist), and will present on the most pertinent need-to-know information from USMCA, including:

  • Updates, upgrades and changes from the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) to USMCA
  • New analysis of the U.S.-Canada-Mexico trade relationships
  • How the new USMCA will affect individual manufacturers doing business in North America and abroad

The USMCA program is open to the public, but registration is required. Registration is free for current Welke USA clients and $50 for new contacts. For further information, visit https://tinyurl.com/WelkeUSA-USMCA-Cleveland.
